Mother Pam brings the pumpkins and handles the arrangement. Your part is to give us safe access and tell us what should stay. You do not need to buy supplies or pre-style the porch.
If we’re coming today, start with the checklist below. A quick photo or message about an unusual detail is useful, even if you have already booked.
The quick before-we-arrive checklist.
- Clear the agreed installation area of things you want put away. Leave the decorations and planters you want us to work around.
- Make sure the door, steps, walkway and handrails are accessible.
- Arrange access through gates and tell us about alarms, pets and parking restrictions.
- Flag loose steps, slippery spots, sprinklers, downspouts and anything recently painted, sealed or refinished.
- Tell us how to reach you if we have a question. You do not need to be home when access is arranged.
Keep the things that make it your porch.
A favorite planter, a good bench, your wreath: tell us what belongs in the finished display. You do not need to empty the whole entrance. A photo with a short “keep this, put this away” note helps us understand the plan.
Please put away your own fragile or personal items if you want them removed. If something is too heavy to move safely, leave it and tell us. Do not hurt your back on Mother’s account.
Tell us what the porch is made of.
Painted wood, composite decking, natural stone and concrete can need different care. Send the product or finish name if you have it, especially after recent work. A surface that feels dry is not necessarily ready for items to sit on it; follow its manufacturer or installer’s instructions.
Point out places where water collects. We need to think about watering and runoff as well as where the pumpkins look good. No generic mat or hidden tray makes every surface safe.
Leave room for the way you actually live.
Open the storm door fully. Think about carrying groceries, walking the dog, getting a stroller through and receiving deliveries. Tell us about any access needs so the arrangement can respect them.
If the chosen package or an included bale does not suit the available space, we’ll discuss an adjustment with you. Do not build a platform, attach hooks or buy a barrier in anticipation of the installation.
Weather or access changed? Tell us now.
A locked gate, a contractor on the steps or an unexpectedly slippery entrance can change what is possible. Contact us as soon as you know. Your selected installation window is a range of dates; use the appointment we have confirmed with you.
If weather makes installation unsafe, we’ll contact you about scheduling under the customer terms. You do not need to improvise a place for us to leave the materials.
When the pumpkins are in place.
We send a photo when the display is finished. Take a moment to look over the arrangement, check the door and walking route, and make sure you know how to reach the plants for watering.
If something appears damaged, missing or different from your order, let us know. Photos within 48 hours help us review the concern, and you can still contact us about something you notice later. Save the care guide for the weeks ahead.
